DEMENTIA EDUCATION AND TRAINING INSTITUTE
We guide families and caregivers through the complex and ever changing challenges of providing care and support to their loved ones with dementia.
We offer educational workshops, seminars and consultations that empower caregivers with the knowledge, confidence and skill set needed to maintain a relationship with their loved ones throughout the entire disease process.
Our Continuing Education workshops provide education and skill training to medical professionals. Each workshop provides between 1-3 CE hours. More information on the workshop/training/CE page.
Carol Redmann Bailey is a Registered Nurse and an Educator. Her medical background and experiences along with a BS in Education motivated her to pursue National Certifications in Dementia Training and Consultation.
This career path came to be after seeing first hand families and medical professionals overwhelming need for help, guidance and support in caring for loved ones living with dementia.

Guidance and support in caring for loved ones living with dementia.
Although she was not looking for a change in careers, the lack of information and training available was frustrating and depressing. Feeling the hopelessness and chronic stress care partners exhibited, she made the decision to become a dementia care specialty nurse. She advocates for people living with dementia by providing dementia education and training for both medical professionals and families.
She trained under Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care (TM) philosophy. Certification included numerous courses and out of state certification workshops. Her compassion and dedication helps families learn and utilize new skills to create a dementia safe environment. The one comment she hears after every workshop is "I wish I had known all of this years ago".
